Hi Istvan,

It’s not quite the same, but it is similar.

Like the non-Wordpress script, it does not function as a shopping cart, trolley, basket, whatever you want to call it, script. You have to use other scripts for that, and not all of them will work with this yet.

How I envisage using this is that I would have a buy button between the [OTO] and [/OTO] tags, and perhaps a more expensive buy button between the [EXPIRED] and [/EXPIRED] tags. I think it will work well with S2Member. It won’t work well as it stands with eShop, the e-commerce plugin running on this site.

It could do what you are suggesting, because your buy button could be a link that goes to the WordPress page with the offer on it. That can have one buy button which charges for two products and a separate buy button that charges for just one product. That’s not how one-time offers are normally done, but it is feasible.

I expect to be adding some more facilities to the script soon, and I’ll email when I have more to say about that. One thing that’s important is a control panel, and another thing is a way to clear one or all existing addresses.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for including me in this beta.
So basically, I create my normal offer on a page and add the [OTO] [/OTO] information. Then if people go to the page a second time they should not see the OTO correct?

If it works as well as your free OTO script… then I’ll love it. I use the other script on several sites with different products and it works perfectly!

Will check out right after this but I was curious whether it works the same way: we have to redirect the buyer from the payment processor to the OTO page, right? I mean it doesn’t work as an “upsell” when it is shown after clicking the original buy button and if the buyer wants both products then it ‘remembers’ to add both prices to the checkout… or does it?

The sad fact of the matter is that for that week, I was unable to spend any time working on my site.

The good thing is that it proves it’s a good, hands-free income generating stream.

So the new best score is 224.44.

This makes the next target 224.44 * 1.05 = 235.66.
